History and CultureThe first dorm named after a woman, Marion Burke Knott Hall certainly can boast to be one of the most legendary dorms on campus. A male dorm since 1997, Knott has a healthy balance of dorm tradition and modern amenities to split the perfect middle of what you could want in your Notre Dame experience.

Our PatronThe patron of our hall is Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton. The first saint born in the United States, EAS is truly an embodiment of the spirit that is God, Country, Notre Dame, and now Knott Hall. Knott Men attend weekly mass in the Elizabeth Ann Seton Chapel.

Our FounderNamed after Marion Burke Knott, Henry J. Knott donated and became the benefactor of Knott Hall in 1988. While neither Knott attended ND, Marion has become a folk legend on campus. As every Knott Hall man will tell you, "She is the only woman you will ever need in your life".
|
Our FutureBoth the generous spirit of the Knott family and the faith of EAS live on in Knott Hall. We strive for service, faith, and fun to further the vision of our founders.
