Signature Events
Knott is known for many events on and off campus from our service to our spiritual to our cooking and athletics. Here are the top 10 events as voted by our residents!
- Knott Hall Section Football- Nothing like a little rivalry between sections! Every Friday in the fall, each of the 6 sections takes part in touch football tournament. The prize? Only bragging rights and eternal glory.
- Knott Hall Government- Tune in every Tuesday at 10:30 for a mix of outrageous takes, announcements, and weekly games and fellowship. Oh, and lots of pizza.
- Knott Hall SYR and Formal- Knott like most dorms puts on a great off campus spring formal and on campus fall informal dance! A great time with your significant other and or the boys.
- Knott Sack Race- Our signature event, the Knott Sack race is an annual event in partnership with Welsh Family Hall that raises money for local charities through our own western sack race.
- Knott Mass- Whether you are Catholic or not, Knott Mass is known for its great community building, awesome music, and welcoming environment. Don't miss the donut social afterwards either!
- Knott Hall Urban Golf Tourney- Grab your old set of clubs and hit the links! Knott puts on an urban golf tourney every year playing all across campus on makeshift holes! A classic in the making.
- Mod Quad Appreciation Day- An annual event to celebrate the eighties and the founding of our mod quad family of PE, PW, and Siggy!
- Pumpkin Carve- An annual sister dorm event, this is a classic way to bond with our favorite ladies in Flaherty!
- Knott Hall Food Sales- delicious and not so nutritious, Knott Hall Food Sales have a reputation around campus! Past businesses have included Waffle Wednesdays, Tex-Mex Tuesdays, Pizza Bagel Thursdays, and Grilled Cheese Mondays!
- The Aidan Project- In conjunction with the ND Circle K, Knott Hall makes blankets for children fighting childhood cancer. As our signature event, Knott always has a great turnout to this classic.
